A larger budget does not explain why a campaign is missing its goal. Start by reviewing three areas that help clarify the situation.

What is a valuable conversion?

Define the action that matters to your business: a purchase, an enquiry or a phone call. Choosing what to track is the starting point described in Google Ads documentation. Website traffic alone does not tell you whether you are gaining valuable customers.

Does your data reflect the goal?

Check which actions are counted and whether different sources describe the same event. Separate supporting signals from the actions you actually want to generate. Record the situations you cannot yet measure reliably.

Which needs does the campaign address?

Review search queries in the context of your offer. Rather than judging an account by clicks alone, ask whether people are looking for what you sell. An audit should also consider the market and the value of an enquiry.

Our recommendation: before changing your budget, list the problems, hypotheses and measurement conditions. This makes it easier to assess what changes after implementation.
